Omughisa Rwenzori is honoured to support the work of independent, community‑based organizations in the Rwenzori region of Kasese District, Uganda. The programs we fund are designed, led, and owned by our Ugandan partners:

As a grant‑making charity, Omughisa Rwenzori does not run its own activities in Uganda. Instead, we stand alongside local leaders whose vision, expertise, and stewardship shape every initiative. Their independence is essential to ensuring that development remains community‑driven, culturally appropriate, and responsive to local priorities.
Through the Sanitary Pads Initiative, 130 girls at Bughungu Primary School can manage their periods safely, with dignity, and stay in school.
