Construction started on June 23, and it is remarkable how much our crew has accomplished in only three weeks! We have gone from measuring and plotting the location of the new bridge, to completing of the stone arch support. Except for the gas-powered chainsaw used to cut the planks, all of this work has been done by hand. Link to the timeline here.
We are woefully short of funds to complete this bridge, but it must be done before the rainy season starts, so we forge ahead. If you would like to help, here is our dedicated Bridge Fund page: https://www.zeffy.com/donation-form/building-the-duubu-river-vehicle-bridge
